Martyn Annetts Linocut Prints
Welcome to my website which features my original linocut prints.
I live in Pirton, on the edge of the Chiltern Hills, where the Icknield Way crosses the border of Hertfordshire into Bedfordshire. I'm currently working on a set of prints inspired by the chalk landscape near to my home.
Wood Lane, Pirton
I enjoy the medium of lino printing. You have to reduce the scene to black and white and consider carefully the cuts you make in the surface of the lino. It forces you to simplify the scene whilst trying to capture something of the atmosphere of the landscape.
Hand printing is a rewarding part of the process. The ink can add an element of texture to the final print resulting in no two prints that are exactly the same.

I have two series of prints for sale with the printed area sized to make mounting and framing easy
Large - 280mm x 182mm (A4) print supplied in a 16"x12" white mount
Small - 164mm x 104mm (5"x7") print supplied in a 10"x8' white mount
